Komala y Stefan (Holland)
www.komalaystefan.com
Komala and Stefan are
from El Corte, the famous tango centre in Nijmegen,
Holland. This is their
first visit to Devon! Their teaching
incorporates body knowledge, connection and play,
allowing people to really enjoy their dancing.
With their warm. enthusiastic, dynamic and playful
approach they stimulate you to learn to feel the music
and to translate and express this into smooth, relaxed
but still powerful movements. Obviously they enjoy
teaching and dancing but they never take themselves too
seriously. Working with the students to learn the
complicated looking movements, it's simplicity what
counts for them. The ultimate goal has to be that
everyone feels the freedom to move with his partner in
the music and express himself without the limitation of
fixed patterns. But they will never forget to put the
focus on social behaviour and respect for each other on
and besides the dancefloor! For them, Tango is
passion... Tango is choice... Tango is play... Tango is
adventure...

Tara and Fernando (UK / Arg)
www.vidadetango.co.uk
Tara
and Fernando are young dynamic teachers and performers
of Tango base in Devon, UK.
They are passionate about teaching, following a
continuos self development of how to teach. Taking
Tango as an improvisational dance, in their classes
they use exercise to encourage improvisation from an
early stage as well showing short sequences of steps to
grasp a concept.
They provide to the students tools to understand the
principles that govern each movement. They create
exercises that enable to them to experience something
first, and then reflect on it. All this surrounded by a
young, friendly and fun learning environment!
Also, they are the
organizers of Tango Feast, as well as other tango
events.
They've taught and perform all over UK, Europe, North
America and Argentina.
