Fernando & Tara met and found a shared connection and passion for Tango. Fernando moved from England and continued his teaching and performing around Europe and America, while Tara stayed exploring the Tango in Europe. Their friendship continued to grow and they became partners both in dancing and life. With Tango they have travelled together to Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Holland, Croatia, Norway and all around England, Performing and Teaching.

For Tara and Fernando Argentinean tango is an improvisatory dance. In their classes they use exercise to encourage improvisation from an early stage as well showing short sequences of steps to grasp a concept. They provide to the students tools to understand the principles that govern each movement. They create exercises that enable to them to experience something first, and then reflect on it. All this surrounded by a young, friendly learning environment!

In their classes they only with some exception use sequences, instead they provide the student tools to understand the principles that govern each movement, or exercises that enable to the student experience something first, and then reflect on it.

Today we are organising and focusing on developing the Tango scene in and around Exeter. We believe that soon Exeter will become a reference of Tango Argentino in England and in Europe. Although we are still working in Europe and around England continuing with the workshop weekends we are very happy to be creating a lively Tango Argentino community nearer our home.

From very early stage in his career he adopted an attitude of developer and researcher about the dance. He extended the same attitude when he started to teach, to understand a concept and to find the best way to explain it to students. Coming up with a simple, clear a unique way of teaching.

Tara is a young and sensitive Tango teacher with a great understanding of Argentine culture. She has always loved to dance from a very early age she studied ballet, modern and tap, which she continued into her teens. Through her teen years she took part in different kinds of stage performances from dance to drama.

After leaving school her interest in the body and how it works became her main interest. Tara has studied many forms of body work including holistic therapies and is qualified in many different areas of holistic therapies. She has taken part in many organised group workshops about relating to each other and communication, this is still a love of hers.

Her love for movement and dance continued taking her into the world of contemporary and contact dance where she spent some time at Laban (London). Although she loved all these different areas of movement and dance she never really found one that caught her passion until she found Tango.

Tara has been able to bring her two main focus together her love of Tango and her understanding about relating and communicating within the dance.
